Jacks-or-Better Electronic Poker System

  • In any hand having a Jack, unless the hand is already a winner! – 4 to an open-ended Straight, four to a Flush or three to some Straight Flush or Royal Flush – reject all cards only keeping the Jack
  • In any hand holding only 1 card Jack or above, maintain the single superior card and refuse all other cards and redraw.
  • In any hand with one pair less than than Jacks, maintain the pair and reject all other cards – unless the hand is 4 into a Straight or 4 into a Flush
  • In any hand holding a two-pair, keep both pair and reject the odd-card.
  • In any hand with three-of-a-kind keep the 3-of-a-kind and refuse the other two cards.
  • In any hand having four to some Straight, hold all four Straight cards and re-draw – unless of course the Straight draw is not open-ended and the hand is with a Jack)
  • In any hand holding 4 with a Flush, hold the four Flush – unless the hand holds three to the Royal in which case you would draw to the Royal Flush
  • In any hand with four-of-a-kind, hold anything since a 1-card draw will not enhance the cards.
  • In any hand holding three to some Royal Flush, refuse almost everything else and go for that Royal – unless the hand is already a Sraight Flush!
