Electronic Poker is a beloved game that is able to be wagered on in casinos throughout the globe, or alternatively at home on your PC, using a net account. The rules are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player trying to achieve the greatest combination of cards achievable in order to acquire money. In this respect it’s much the same as a classic game of poker, minus the interaction with any other players. Of course, tactics employed during a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be irrelevant in Video Poker.

The game of Video Poker begins when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and presses the draw button. A five card hand will then be electronically ‘handed out’ on the screen.

The Video Poker machine also has hold buttons, and enthusiasts will need to now decide which cards to keep and which to discard. For the cards the bettor wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they want, from all to none.

After the player has decided on which cards she wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, which will mean that any new cards will be needed they will be given out. The game is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the payment schedule.

Normally, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It is obvious that the payout schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that knowledgeable bettors are agile enough to choose the most money-making game each and every instance.

Once the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that might been won. Additionally, a few versions of the game allow the player a chance to double their wins, in which instance a further game is played. There are also variations among specific machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing elements to enhance playability.
